Hollow Tube Beads
I've been seeing some gorgeous hollow tube beads in the groups on Facebook. Does anyone know of a tutorial I could buy for these?

I've never seen a tutorial for them or tried it myself but why not just give it a go ? Do you have any hollow mandrels ? Wrap some glass around the end of the hollow mandrel to make a hollow bead then gently blow while spinning the mandrel. Once you have the size hollow you want, pull the end of the glass away from you using some hot glass on the end of the color rod you used to make the hollow I'd think. This is just off the top of my head but makes sense to me anyway. lol ! I have no idea if this will work as I said, I've never tried it but now that I've thought about it I just might !  So let us know if you try it and post your results.

Debbie, I tried one way and it was so wrong!
I was going to try something a little similar to what is shown in the youtube video, but I hadn't yet. All of the hollow seashells I make are building up two disks on a hollow mandrel with a hole in the center and building up to the center.
Now, no more guessing, I'm so thrilled to have seen exactly how they are made and I hope to try soon. As soon as I get these excruciating taxes done, anyway.
I will have to learn how to blow the bubble at the end of a mandrel first!

Then, again, I may just try to build up the hollow on the end of a 5mm hollow tube and go from there. Much less chance of failure since I have done vessels that way before.

I was into making ornaments a couple years ago and the way I described what you are wanting to do is pretty similar. I only made them with soft glass so it was fun and interesting. That's how I came up with the thoughts I had. I wonder if it would work with glaskolbens ?

I am wondering if it would work with glaskolbens, too. I bought a box of them and tried one out to make an ornament but it was so wonky I just tried to make something out of it so it became a wonky seashell. I may just give it a try and see what happens.
Still working on taxes.....

Yep, it works with glaskolben. I use them for all kinds of stuff. I really like making skull pendants with them.

Tube Beads
As for me I just blow a bubble and stretch it out to the size I want, then cut the tube into segments.
Obviously this takes some skill and practice.
When I was a 9 year old apprentice I had to make 5000 eye droppers
Then 5000 Connecting tubes just to learn how to do the push / pull.
And it definitely improved my patience as well. LOL
Try that one with your 9 year old kids!
Just grab the bubble with a handle on the other end and stretch as you blow or after it is blown while still hot. By making a Parison to start with you can get an even wall thickness throughout your beads.

Tubing
I don't know if anyone makes Heavy Wall Tubing out of soft glass,
But it can be cut into segments after you add some decoration. Fire polish the ends after cutting.
