Thanks for the bump Shawnette.

I could well have read this whole thread some years back but these days my memory doesn't go 'some years' back any more.

Yes this is a good thread, plus I will always miss Joan, who started this subject. She has moved on to greater interests.

I love implosions! I would love to learn how to make this one, but I'm pretty impaired when it comes to following written bead instructions, and for some reason I can't open the .pdf link Joan posted. Is anyone of you able to and could possibly tell me how to access it..? I'd be very appreciative..!

I'm of no help on opening her pdf file. For what it is worth, I knew Joan, she lived in my area and moved to the Phoenix area several years ago, but have lost all contact with her. Very sad.
Maybe someone else can be of help. Sorry.

These are gorgeous beads - a bit above my pay grade just yet though!

I was wondering if the illustrations mentioned at the head of the thread were still available anywhere, please? The given link goes to a no-more web page

Look up two or three posts. PattyK found the illustrations with the Wayback machine.

Thanks Patty!

I did check it out before posting Eileen, but it only appears to be part of the tutorial with just the photo that's already on the post.

I did find a You Tube video from Denise Baker however, which isn't great quality in places but does shows the implosion process, at least the bit that was confusing me anyway - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AnXg3rup9Do I think it's a different method though.
I think the stamen part at the beginning of Joan's tutorial is the same as making a striped bead, isn't it? Putting dots round the rim of the disk and getting the clear wrap to spread them?

Спасибо Джоан, которая так много лет назад создала такой полезный урок! И благодарю Петти, которая поделилась ссылкой со схемами!
