Default Rudolph red

Is anyone else disappointed? It's more of an orange red to me. Or am I doing something wrong?

Otoh, I love marichino red.(did I spell that right?)

CiM Rudolph? It's red to me, though not a dark red. It does strike, so you maybe needed to do that a little more? I have test pics at http://kalorlo.wordpress.com/2014/02...-ocher-sunset/ alongside firecracker and orange crush.

(If you thin it out a lot, it does look to go more orange).

I got a 'try before you buy' rod, made 3 spacers, 2 were red, one in the middle was orange. I struck them repeatedly knowing it was a striking color...so don't know?
