Default New Boro Gallery Monday 6/5 - ???

I thought I'd go ahead and start a new gallery. Maybe we can start a new one each week, like they do in the Jewelry room.
What do y'all think?

I am having a lot of fun lately w/ discs!

I just started making them and they are addictive!

Oops, me again.

These beads were made using a mix of colors including an experimental color from Northstar called 'Loch Ness'. I like it!
It reminds me of 'Mystery Aventurine', but it's different.

Carrie - those are beautiful. I can't wait til I have something worthy of showing here. It's slow going on a minor.

Carrie, great hot pink shade! And I'm lovin' that Loch Ness set, what a cool color. Sometimes my favorite Northstar colors are their experimental ones. I had one rod of a color called "Charisma" that made the coolest set and have been hoarding the remaining one inch stub ever since!
Lynn, the Silver Dance pendant is beautiful--what nice color variations you've brought out, and it has a line that looks kind of like a healed "broken heart".
Jodie, no reason you can't work boro on a Minor, just turn that baby up so you have a bigger flame!

Thank you Lynn, Jodie, & Anita for your kind words. I really appreciate it!

Lynn, I LOVE your hearts! I haven't done another one since Smiley's class.

Anita & baylie I agree! I want some more of the 'Loch Ness' too and am holding onto what I have left, eek. I am afraid to use it all. If I had enough to share I would, but I don't.

ksglass, I love the colors in your beads, great job!

Karen, awesome! Very unique.

ohh such pretties!!! I love seeing everyones stuff !

I am having a terrible time photographing my beads.... the colors just are not what they look like in person, but I guess that's boro too right

Here is my contribution, I just went nuts and made beads, I love this stuff!! I also use Mr. Smileys annealing schedule and the purples look so much better now!

by the way, these beads are pretty large for me, about half an inch or so

Carrie...beautiful beads there girl!!! That pink is to die for I think you have everyone wanting the color Loch Ness. I sure hope they put it in production.

Lynn...LOVE your hearts. They have wonderful color.

Elizabeth, those disks rock and great pics too.

Karen, girl, I LOVE that focal. VERY pretty. It reminds me of copper green, in soft glass only it has a bit of transparancy to it.

Suzanne, wow...look at all those beads. You have been very busy. They are great! You are getting amazing color. I'll have to go and have a look see at Brent's annealing schedule.

Great beads everyone!!!

Carrie, Suzanne, Smiley, Karen, Kay--what can I say except "Flame on, you borophiles!" Smiley, those hearts are dripping with love. And I haven't forgotten your artist bio, I've been on pain meds for a ruptured disc and what I wrote was not my best. I'm off the meds this weekend and will try again.
I'm able to torch for about an hour a day right now, which is a real TREAT!!! So I've been trying out some new frits I got from Cathy at Eplanet. Here's a bead in Blue Moon base with size 0 Blue Lightning frit. It gives a crisp pattern and the Blue Moon reacts more dramatically than with clear frit. I like the effect, and the frit size is nice. Would be a great size for itty bitty beads or the edges of disk beads like what you've been making, Carrie~

Today I'm going to play with some size 2 frits, so be back to share again.
Have a great Sunday!
