Default Cameo Bead Technique

There is a tutorial on a cameo bead technique in the June/July 2011 issue of Glassline magazine.

If anyone has any questions, I would be happy to answer them.

I saw that tutorial! It is wonderful! So detailed and with good explanations.
Thank you so much!

I just love Glassline. For about the price of one e-tutorial you get a whole bunch of excellent tutorials for a year.

Crap, one powern surge (due to one drunk driver) and I can't find the large image of the final bead. However, I found an image of a different Mermaid bead.

This technique is not easy, that is why I posted since if anyone tries it they will have a ton of questions.

LOL.... okay, but just don't die anytime soon. I prefer to make my visits to Burano for "happy" reasons. I actually went four times this past month that I was there. I so Burano. We tried a different restaurant, and were all very pleased. It was Al Veccio Pipa.

Congrats on the article and tutorial. Brava!

But, there are only two restaurants in Burano. What new adventure did you find? And without me.. I am JEALOUS! But, I promise to hang around for several more years.. I have to, I am not done visiting the islands.

All, Burano is nothing like anything on this earth. It is one AMAZING island. I would post the pictures I took last year, but Vista ate my USB drive.

On a side note: I am teaching a one week intensive at the Pittsburgh Glass Center next summer (2012) on soft glass and the human form. Who knows, if the class is full of beadmakers, we will cover cameo techniques!

I will be teaching a one week intensive class at the Pittsburgh Glass Center the week of May 28th.

The focus will be on sculpting the human figure in glass, but there I know there will be room to expand and the cover the cameo technique.

www.pittsburghglasscenter.org

There is also a thread in 'classes' on this website.
