Silver glass mirror finish?
I need to get a cool tone mirror finish on beads that are at least 1" in diameter. Although Titon yields the mirror finish, at that size it is a slightly warmer tone than I need. I want a finish that will look like polished stainless steel. 90, 96 or 104 all considered, any suggestions?

Maybe DH Notos although I haven't made a bead that big with it.

I always get a gold toned reduction with Aurea.
Oh, shoot, Notos is one I don't have on hand. Do you know if there was an experimental number for that one?
The Iris Blue and Iris Lt Blue beads came out of the kiln this morning, but they don't have the tone need. They have a cool undertone, but this time it was too cool. Much bluer than polished steel.

Drat, I was hoping this would work for you.

Me too.
Angie, you Aurea looks more silver than mine. I wonder if NG makes it reduce to a more golden color? That, or I keep grabbing Aurea Lt Gold instead of regular Aurea. :.lol: Will have to give it another try.
Dark Silver Plum is a darker metallic than what I need, but still one of my all time favorite glasses.
Rebecca, not sure if I have OK-455 on hand, but I'm sure I have a couple OK experimentals. Will pull them out and give them a try. Thanks!

Soda Lime Times had a tute the other month using Bullseye I think blue luster. It looked to be silver in the Tute ... I thought it was silver wire melted until I read the instructions.
Just tossing that out there for consideration.

I'm not opposed to using Bullseye for this project. Will have to see if I have blue luster on hand. I know I accidentally mixed some luster glass in with my colbalt transparent when I moved the Bullseye a month ago and haven't taken the time to melt the ends to sort the luster back out. Thanks!
