ok.. I ahve worked on lathes for ages, but this is a new term to me, I suspect it has something to do with the pipe trade, since I have not heard it before.... anyone want to fill me in here? what is it,what does it do?

Sure, it's the wiggly line pattern with spirals that everyone has been using in almost every pipe as if there was nothing else one could do with glass, since about 2002 or so.

looks like an exagerated wig wag to me. I am not sure about that however. Its what I would do if I were making one.

As someone said above look into abr. It's a wig wag that has been condensed and then blown open on it's side or straight from the blowtube, reattached to a blowtube or other piece then can be shaped to whatever.
