Default Is this a reaction with the glass colors?

I have been looking on Ebay at this set of beads and am just amazed at the colors this artist produced:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ZB-ColorBlast-Ho...QQcmdZViewItem

The bright outline that is produced around the various patterns is wonderful. It almost glows. Is this the lighting or does boro produce this type of ring around certain colors when they interact.

Beautitul!

I know there are several colors with soft glass that do this really cool effect. I am not sure however what the colors are in boro but would think it is a simular effect. They really are lovely.

Someone else could definitely give a more specific answer, such as which colors do this, but one thing I know for sure. The effect is real and not just lighting. One glass is 'swallowing' the other and causing the rim effect.

Great set! I'm glad you linked to it.

Ok my bad boro for certain, but you have to admit most boro workers like to make the glas craze and swirl and do that thing where one kind of glass becomes a schmorgasboard. Yes I got to use schmorgasboard in a sentence But I'm betting dot on dot. I want that control!
