I still stand by my Moretti Super Clear. I've never had a problem with it.

Clear is SO batch dependent that it is really hit or miss.

I'm with Jamie Lynne - Moretti Super Clear - Extra Clear is the one right now without tons of issues or restrictions on usage.

I really like Vetro Crystal Clear, have ordered it many times, and not had a problem. I've also had great success with Precision Diamond Clear, but understand others have had issues.

Every time I say I'm having good luck with a certain type of clear, it goes sour on me (last batch of Diamond Clear -- ouch!). So this time I won't say anything except cross your fingers when you hit the "submit order" key!

Damn, I've been enjoying my Extra Clear, unaware of any issues! Hopefully I don't have any of my own!

I just got some Reichenbach 104 but haven't tried it yet. I'll post the results when I get a bead made with it.

Becky - I think you misread my post - I said that Extra Clear was the one WITHOUT tons of issues and restrictions........and I certainly hope so as I just received five pounds of it from Jamie Lynne!!! Cheers! Joan

I love Laucha clear as long as I don't use it over or under silver glass <sigh>.

Half of my silver glass beads cracked. And I annealed them at 970 for 1 hour, ramp down 50/hour until 680.

I tried moretti super clear over the silver glass (I bought 10-11mm ones) but not that really happy with them. It has lots of micro bubbles.

So the conquest continues, to find the perfect clear.

Lauscha is the most consistent clear, in my opinion. Unlike others, I have not had any problems with cracking, not even with silver glass.

Don't get me wrong, I love Laucha clear but I started playing with silver glass recently and most of my round ones cracked. So I have to keep the pressed beads for little bit longer, just in case.

try the fat rods of plain Moretti clear... they're cheap and i've been having some success with them

i'm primarily a Lauscha clear user as well but seems not everyone can work with it.

Yep, me too. I have no problems with the Moretti fat rods and it's very clear.
