Just off the top of my head, I think it's 5 or 6 Amps.

if you want to be sure, pop off the case and look at the specs on the compressor.

Should be on nomenclature plate on rear (or side) of unit along with voltage/amps required and other unit "specifications".... My guess would be the "5.0 Nominal" value...

"Generally" 5 LPM units draw 4-6 amps or close 450-700 watts....

(volts x amps = watts) When selecting generators they are usually rated in "watts output"... A generator a little bigger than rated requirements is not a problem.... Generator to small and concentrator will struggle and generator will struggle, good chance of damaging both.....

Of you are going to have any booth lighting or whatever be sure to figure those numbers in too....

Thanks for all the posts!
I call Sequal they said 575 to 750 watts. 115 Volts X 5 amps
So I need to see when I get the borrowed gen tonight what it says
No need for booth lighting the show is during the day. I know it would show better w lights but I can't spare power..
Still not sure I want to take the risk of damaging a Generator that does not belong to me.
My new/used concentrator is great but I am not willing to damage it either. I cannot afford any expenses for quite awhile.
After the last show my beloved DeVillbis was broken on the nipple connection while being unloaded. I was misreable without being able to torch for several months.

IF borrowed generator is good for 1000 watts continuous (give a little wiggle room) you should be good....

Another suggestion is to consider the use of bottled oxygen. That would eliminate the possibility of electrical issues.

Maybe a welding supply shop would sponsor your activity with the needed supplies. Check around and see what the cost for a one day rental of 125 cu ft or larger tank with regulator would cost.

Dale,
Honda generator 1000i ( 7 amp) worked like a charm! Ran really quiet to boot.
Alaska,
Great idea but wanted me to sign annual contract on a lease of the tank. They were willing to load into the truck for me.
Thanks again, MarieAnn

Big Brothers Big Sisters is a great organization. I was a vendor this time around was really surprised to be in the photos! Always supported them in the past and given several pieces of jewelry guess that is karma
