If I put my lights inside I'm thinking that I'm going to get a reflection from the light stand??

Depending on how big your light stand is, the reflection is more likely to reflect in a different direction than onto your objects. I've done this and I actually had the two stands outside the tent and just had the light heads sticking in. One light pointed towards the upper left side and the other pointed towards the upper right. That way they bounced light off both the top and sides.
