Program for glass hive kiln
The glasshive comes with the first program already in there. I need the numbers for the second program for silver glass. Anyone have that they can share? I would appreciate it.

Which silver glass? I do most silver glass on the same program, unless you want to kiln strike.
The wonderful folks at glass hive will help you if you call and ask.

I use the program they set for all my 104, including silver glass. So far, no problems.

So you don't use the program 2? My silver glass of Brads always over strikes, I need a lower temp. I thought I would ask before bothering Pam again.

Pat - you can use the silver glass program for all coe 104 glass. But first you need to do test beads to see how much lower the temperature you need to go down to (and extending the soak time to compensate) at 10-degree increment. I'd recommend making some beads at the end of your torching session with StrikingColor glass and lower the temp by 10 degrees to see if the beads strike again in the kiln. Do this until you reach a temp where they don't restrike.
Here is my write up on annealing silver glass:

Here is the instruction on how to reprogram the Glass Hive controller:

I think what people are saying is that you don't really need two programs. You might need to adjust the current one for your glass as Hailey said, but once you do, you should be able to use that same program for all your glass with no issues. I lowered mine about 15-20 degrees from the preset, increased the length of soak a bit, and no problems with any glass. All the glass can use the same program.
The only time I use the second program, really, is if I'm doing a batch anneal or boro.

Thank you, Pat.
Yes, you can surely set up two programs on the Glass Hive Fuji controller, just follow the instructions on my blog using the link above.

I would like to batch anneal, but was wondering : do I clean the beads before I put them in the kiln or do I just take them off the mandrel and add them as is? Also, would the program setting have to be changed? I have a "regular guy" kiln
from glass hive

Unannealed beads are more fragile, therefore the less you handle it the better. I'd batch anneal them on th mandrels if you can. Or at the minimum, just take them off but without cleaning them.

Thanks Hayley. Can the beads touch or do they have to be spread out?
