Default Quick connect question

Will one of you kind and knowledgeable souls please 'splain how a quick connect works? I think I want one at the propane regulator/hose connection. What I want to do is avoid the screw/unscrew operation every time I torch - not only is it a PITA, but I have an arthritic knuckle and it bloody hurts to twist the connections on and off.

I have an oxycon, so don't need one on that hose. Oh and the propane is outside, where it belongs.

Thanks!
Charlee

Get the "torch" mounted ones, not the "regulator" mounted ones - the difference is where the pressure lock side is located - on regulator mounted ones, the pressurized side is mounted to the regulator, on the torch mounted ones, the pressurized size is mounted to your hose end.

The pressurized side (female) has a slide release that pulls back towards the body and releases the male connector.

These are an excellent item to have at any time.

To connect, push the male side into the female side until you hear a "click". You may have to slightly pull back on the slide if you don't have a lot of hand/wrist strength.
