Default Best way to get a good red

I need to make a bunch of basic large red beads. I have some effetre striking red, tons of vetrofond trans red, some vetro odd red that looks a bit dark.

Any tips? The beads seem so dark, no matter the glass.

If you're using transparent red try encasing a base of clear with the red. That way the red isn't so dense and will let some light through.

You can also layer it over various opaques to change up the overall tone too.

Uroboros has a great cherry red opaque and I agree that Candy Apple is a lovely opal red.
