Default Construction has FINISHED on new studio!!

We purchased a new house June 2010, and I haven't been able to torch since. May 2011, hubby started construction on a 12x12 "cabin" in our back yard. You can go to my facebook to see work in progress.

3 sides of siding put on. Tomorrow the last two windows and possibly some trim. As soon as the windows and door are installed, we can start inside. Interior will be insulated and we are thinking of trying drywall. Power and water lined, then the actual inside designing will begin. I can't wait!

I might suggest using particle board or chipboard for interior wall covering. It takes nails or screws better so you can hang pics, shelves, etc without worrying about stud location or them pulling out of the dry wall. It has a 'different' look when finished but not unpleasant.
That's shaping up to be a real nice work studio. Congrats.

What a fantastic space you will have when you do get finished. And once the drywall is in, you're most of the way there!

We have POWER!! Next h20 and cat 5. Now I can hook up the AC and work at night, progress should be quicker. (fingers crossed) If we can't get it finished (for whatever reason) - there will be a spot avail in Corina's Sept Class in Florida. I can't go after not torching for 2 years. Toes crossed, lol.

Wow, this looks amazing and it's not finished. Is the 12 by 12 with the porch? or just your working space?

Thanks. The inside is 12x12, the porch makes it 16x12. We are taking this weekend off for a grown up disney weekend. (daughter on band trip) Then, back at it.

I tried to fix the Facebook link, is working?
