Default CBS dichroic extract

Has anyone tried this? I am looking for tips on how to apply it on a lampwork butterfly.

Thanks Caroline

I use it like mica.

Put just a little bit on a marver and spread it out (a little bit goes a long, long way). Roll your warm bead in it and then heat gently. The dichro can take a lot more heat than mica/pixie dust.

I usually encase it but I've seen gorgeous results of it left on the surface. I can't remember the artist. She showed her beads here on LE and search doesn't bring it up (it may have been in the bathroom). She makes what she calls (I think) orbit beads. A long tapered oval rolled in dichro extract and then silver glass spiral round the outside.
Incredibly gorgeous effect.

I know who you mean, Jayne, it was in this forum, I don't read the bathroom...it's always flushed by the time I get on

The extract is pretty easy to use as she said. Worth the money imo.
So if you wanted it sprinkled on, just do it over something you can collect it into after and pour it back into the jar.

I don't mean to sound, 'omg search', but if you search extract you'll find a few threads that may help
