Starting to pack all the goodies for my classes!
I'm almost good at studio in a suitcase now.

If you are looking for a Friday class there is room in mine.

I'm busy on Friday but I sure someone would drop out of the shot glass class on Thursday!

So I just read the fine print on my flight and I will have to pay for carry-on or checked baggage so I will have about $80 less than planned on. Since it's the same price to check a bag I am going bigger and am packing 4 days of breakfast to save money. Do the folks that have been there have any other cheap food suggestions? That is about the only area I can cut back on. Are there mini fridges in the rooms?

No mini fridges at least not ever in the rooms I've been in.
I bring instant oatmeal because there is a coffee maker to heat up water.
Those little peanut butter individual serving things come in handy. Last year I brought a 4 pack of hawain rolls and peanut butter. Just in case I didn't have a chance to get lunch while teaching
Believe me I know how to live on a budget
Del Mar deli has pretty good prices and there is an In and Out Burger in the casino. They also have a lunch "bar" set up outside the classrooms With sandwiches and a chicken ceasar salad that is big enough to share.

Sorry about the suitcasr fee that stinks - This is why I fly Southwest!

Next time I might fly Southwest. In the end it costs the same. I like the idea of peanut butter, jelly and bread. Since I'm bringing a bigger suitcase I'll have room to pack a little extra. Maybe I'll get some of those single serving tuna fish and cracker things too. I have cereal and single serving almond milk already. I figured I could stick it in the ice bucket overnight so it will be cold for breakfast. It's hard to think of stuff that doesn't need refrigeration.

Be careful about the 50lb weight limit, when we flew yesterday the guy next to us had to pay 100 because his bag was 58 lbs! We weighed ours on the bathroom scale. Jeri

8 frit blends ready for Vegas, 2 are new. Plus, goldstone (aventurine) powder and chunks, blue aventurine chunks, green aventurine chunks, raku chunks and frit, chalcedony and blue chalcedony frit packaged, priced, packed and ready to go... sample beads made of the new blends, some cute flat flowers more head pins... Woooot!

Should I package up some of Gaffer Royal Purple and Purple Rose powders??

I can't wait to get there!!

I've never been to this show - would it be a better show to go to than Bead & Button?

I really enjoyed your class and learned a lot! I have all kinds of ideas crashing around in my brain (probably why I woke up with a headache). Thanks for sharing so much information!

I'm just about an hour away from leaving home to head to Vegas. I can't wait! =)

I need to stop at my shop real quick, but I am otherwise ready to go.

I should be there around 2:30-3pm ish. I'll be setting up my table, then to the casino to wait for my DH. I'm wearing a red and white maxi skirt with a white tank top, I'll probably be plopped down in front of a slot machine drink cranberry and vodkas!

Amanda, I find that Glass Craft Expo is more glass oriented than B and B and is a great place to find new equipment and fuel for new ideas. You would love it! Jeri

ok, I'll be heading over in about 2 more hours once I'm done with work. Hoping to stop by the party this evening for a bit. I'll be the tall one with very short dark hair, in jeans, black tank and light seafoam plaid shirt. Standing in the corner by myself unable to approach anyone...

I'm here, I'm set up. I am now drinking a cocktail in my pj's in the condo down the street. I love my hubs parents. They bought a 2 bedroom condo here a couple years ago.

I'm making the rounds again tomorrow. Today I felt like someone had pulled the stuffings out of me and stomped on them. LOL. Tomorrow, I'll be rarin' to go and spend some money. I found some beautiful beads that I have my eye on. Met Kendra with ISGB and some others from LE. Still haven't found Schermo or Jeri to say hi. I'm the tall, greying blond (short hair) with the brilliant colored blouse and jeans on today, if anyone recalls seeing me. I was hard to miss! . We're on the 6th floor if anyone is close.

Donna (Zen-Mom), I'll definitely be hitting your booth tomorrow for some of your new blends!

Hi Jeri
I'm in classroom D3 if you are selling puffy mandrels stop by tomorrow-sat. I bet this class will want to know more about them and buy some.

Deb Crowley's class yesterday was outstanding! Beside burning the crap out of the dichroic strips because they were 90coe and I ran out of patience I didn't do too bad. Deb wasn't at all what I expected (in a really good way). I am both happy and sad to head home today.

The chandelier class is awesome! We will be doing assembly this afternoon so stop by and check they out if you want. Except not 3-4 because we are going on a field trip then. I still have beads and murrini to trade if anyone is interested. Jodi I hope I will get to see you again effort you leave so I can give you something!

I went hog wild and pig crazy today. I found rods at Wales and bought DH, CIM, and some really pretty Moretti. Then bought a set of earrings from Milon Townsend's wife. I can't afford her husband's work but I love the earrings and she is a real sweetheart. Also got a beadroller from Donna that I've been lusting after, as well as one of her t shirts. Having a wonderful time and can't wait til tomorrow to see the stuff I've missed!
