Any one make beads from it yet or have an opinion about it?

I tried some today. What came out of the kiln doesn't look even close to that color. It's like....dark khaki? like what avocado looks like in rod form? gray/green/brown?
I tried a giraffe bead thinking that brown might look good. Nonononono.
Tomorrow I'll stick some silver on it and see what happens.

Nop, I can not get a nice brown out of it. I am a newbie, so I need to find out how to make it look right.
Thanks,
Rosa.

The brown I get out of it is "taupe", not really all that brown. I use it as part of the coat color for my Caribou sculpture beads....

I will have Woodie results up on my blog within the next week or so. My beads came out more or less the colour of the picture, but I will also show how it behaves in combinations with other colours.

My Woodie results are posted. I hope they help

I can only get the colour shown in the sample bead in the OP by reducing it, but it's pretty neat glass.

I love the color when it is reduced... other than that, meh... I have colors that look like that already, and I never use them. I really like the outline it forms on the Tuxedo... very cool! I wonder if it could be reduced to the wam chocolate brown and still maintain those colors on the Tux. I don't have any Woodie, so I can't try myself.

I agree, Becky - it is really nice reduced, but it's not really exciting enough to pay more than $30/pound for.

The dark browns that have made it into my 'permapalette' so far are CiM Adamantium, Effetre Chocolotta Verde and Lauscha Cocoa. This one doesn't have enough to distinguish it to make my list, although it does some neat things. It may be someone's favourite
