Tubing Question
There are so many sizes of tubing ... diameter and wall thickness ... that I have no idea what would suit me the best. What size would you suggest for doing blown vessels/perfume bottles? I was thinking something like 15mm x 2.5mm and coiling the color on that ...
Any thoughts? Any sizes that are just too small/thin and I should stay away from?
Any help is very appreciated!

I use 9.5 heavy wall as a blow tube and coil pot my color on the end for small vessels and perfume bottles. Something in the 15mm heavy or medium wall range would be good for rolling in powders and frit for small bottles.

I hardly ever use anything other than heavy wall tubing. You can always blow it out thinner, but thickening it up is more difficult...

Thank you Brent and Chad! I am wondering what size (mm) constitutes heavy wall? Would 2.5mm be heavy wall? Like a tube of 9.5mm x 2.5mm for working coiled vessels? My inspiration for trying this technique comes from watching Suellen Fowler's video ... but I don't remember her saying the size of tubing that she uses.
I apprecite what you said about 9.5mm diameter tubing, Brent. It would seem to be more manageable than the 15mm I was considering.

I think 9.5 x 2.5 is heavy wall for that size tubing.

Suellen uses 16x2.5 and 19x3 for her bottles. These are good sizes for this. By the time you get the color coiled onto the tube, like she does, you would have a 19x5-22x5 tubing.
