Who sells Satake "by the rod"?
Who sells Satake "by the rod"? Has a good selection, and doesn't gouge on the price?
I am actually looking for a green similar to the one used by Japanese lampwork bead artist Akiko Isono in her Frog bead on page 166 of the "1000 Glass Beads". I'm not sure if it is Satake. Only assuming because of the appearance of the glass. It's such a translucent yellow mossy green. Very dreamy.

Kinda looks like G-33 Yellow Green at the Heritage Glass site. They're having a Close-Out Sale and it looks like you can order by the rod.

Are you currently using Satake glass? If so, you might find the color here:

I don't think that they sell it by the rod, though. If you do find the color you like, let me know, as I do have a very limited supply of Satake glass.
If you are not currently using Satake, you do know that it is not compatible with 'regular' 104 glass, right?

If you can't find the color in the US, i have all teh Satake colors and sell by the rod.
But iw ould def. contact Malcolm, great customer service and lightning fast shipping.

Sunlight Art Glass in Surrey, BC sells Satake by the rod, but I don't think they ship to the US. I'm not sure where you are Aleta, but if you are in Canada, you could call Tamara and ask her about it.

Dogmaw does -- I have stood in her storage and drooled at all the pretty colors! I'm pretty sure she sells by the rod, and will find colors for people. Plus she gives great service and is a very cool human bean

Thanks Mincot. I'm not around much any more just because work has been so heavy. I had to turn LE time into sleep time.

Arrow Springs will only sell by the 1/4 pound. I'm not going to invest in that much Satake until I see if I like working with it. And probably when I discover that I like it, I will buy from the person who kindly wanted my business enough to sell me Satake by the rod. And hopefully they will offer excellent pricing as well.

I called Arrow Springs today asking about this and they said that they were discontinuing Satake and would be willing to put together something by rod - so you may want to call them
Satake Glass USA will also sell by the rod, and then figure the total poundage
