Default Bravo knobs...

I had thought I read a post about this topic but I was unable to locate it again.

I have just gotten a Bravo two or three weeks ago. My problem is(not a big problem) the knobs are messing with me.

I feel like they are extremely over sensitive to being adjusted. Or in other words they actual flame change doesnt always correspond to the amount I have turned the knob.

Before I get into any actual adjustments I just wanted to see if anyone else who has the newer Bravo has noticed this and what they may have done to correct it.

Thank in advance.

they just need to be seated/broken in a bit. plus, is your studio in a cold spot?

every torch i've had (mega minor, midrange, redmax) has had the same issue when new. it gets worse when it's cold. seems to go away after a few months of usage.

Yes, they will "wear in" a little bit. I also found that I needed to keep a 1/2" open wrench handy for the first 100 hours or so. The packing nuts would loosen as the fit wore in. You won't need to tighten much maybe a 1/16th of a turn at a time.

Thanks guys. I didnt have this problem when I got my Lynx so I wasnt 100% sure it was just from being new. It only seemed to be the propane knobs as well so I just wanted to check with others. Im gonna try tightening them up a little today.

Yes it was my fuel valve that loosened the most. Just don't over tighten the packing nut.
