Talking The OMG Pam-is-Turning-50-nonGathering-Gathering

OMG! Yes, Pam Wilcox is turning the big 5-0 on July 17th!
Mark your calendars to be sure to inundate her with scathingly smart-ass remarks, witticisms, and much snarkiness on her day!

.....ummmmmmmm... I mean: be sure to check in and wish her a very happy, delightfully fun-filled birthday... yeah, that's what I mean.... yeah...

So, in honor of this landmark occasion, we'll be getting together on Saturday and Sunday--July19-20--from 9am on... to celebrate with food and drink and glass and torches.

Beads of Courage beadmaking throughout!

Similar to our glass jams, but torch availability will be limited to torch positions--so please call/email to reserve your torch seat, contributions to the kitty for overhead will be much appreciated.

Potluck, please and thank you! The door will be open, so, in any event---if you've not cooked something, or find that you can come by at the last minute---do come and harass Pam... I mean celebrate the birth of Pam!

I will gladly accept all jokes and harassments as long as they are accompanied by presents!!!

We need a place to stay Saturday night. The Granite Inn is full.

I will be there for Saturday, for sure. Can't let such a moneumental, earthshaking event like Pam's 50th birthday pass without dancing nekkid in the moonlight... ok, not quite that excited about the event but I will be there!

Can this be my RSVP????

And Amanda and Laura, too! Yea!

So Pam, I know you want a pizza with lots of peppers of all kinds, right? ---- Just kidding! --'No Peppers for Pam' (doesn't that sound like a kid's book?!)

What kind of cake do you want?

Add Margaret to the list of guests... she's riding with me for Saturday.

What kinda cake? Oh, I can do so much with that for replies!!! Can we light the candles with Ed's torch??? Vavoosh... LIT!!!

Lyn says she's working Saturday but it's possible with no promise that she might be able to stop in on Sunday.

I'm bringing my bell press to try the closed flower blossoms that have been posted as another way to use the bell press. They're pretty.

Default CRAP!

I'm a day late and a dollar short, AGAIN. Just saw a post from Sue about the bell press, which gave me my heads up about the PARTY. Found this post about the dates.

I needed 10 days to give notice to work for 2 days off (Friday/Monday). Please don't tell me that there is still a torch available or I will be conniving to get those days off.

Pam, I owe you one (or two or three). Get your butt to NS.

I just sent a note to Emily to see if she can make it. Hopefully, she doesn't have to work this weekend.

Hellooooooooo Everyone!

Whoa. We're beyond full (for torch seats) for Saturday.
But everyone is most welcome to come by and roast Pam at will!
... and feel free to negotiate with anyone who's commandeered a torch position. (hey, they have to get up for a bathroom break at some point, right)(carpe diem).

Okie-Dokie, I'll make your carrot cake, Pam.

What else are y'alls all bringin' for food?
(I'm sure someone can correct my attempt at southern-speak, step up now, don't be shy).

Remember: 'No Peppers for Pam' (a children's book, I tell ya!)

I'm stealing Kristi's recipe for the quinoa dish she brought to Pam's the last time we got together- minus the olives and peppers! lol Quinoa is gluten free, which is a major plus for Virginia.

It's a cold salad type of dish.

Anyone allergic to shrimp???

I am feeling popular!!!! But I bet we have plenty of spaces to torch! Besides, I will probably be drinking wine by noon...lol!

I will be there around 10:00 a.m. and have been asked to bring my pulled pork.

For the record..... I love raw peppers. I just don't like them when they get above room temperature.

My thoughts are running along the lines of a fruit salad, a veggie platter or something totally different. It will be a surprise, even to me.

PAM- My cell phone rang a bit ago and could see it was you but battery was almost dead and nothing came through when I answered. It's on the charger right now but it was my reminder to post pictures!
