The rules about running candles with no yellow/white tips (all blue) holds true for all torches when running a small flame, btw. When you are running your candles shorter than 1/4", they should all be blue and you should not have any yellow or white tips.
The longer your candle, the more of a yellow or white tip you can have on the end. The more yellow, though, the more reducing the flame will be. So, you don't want to have too much yellow tips on the longer candles, unless you want a reduction atmosphere.

Brent, perhaps you have 2-stage regulators. You can't tell from looking at them from the outside, but once you set the pressure it stays set at that precise number.

Yeperz... that must be it Pam. They aren't the cheapos most glass suppliers sell. They are big ole welding guages.
