Post Looking for SW Houston Classes

I am new to beading jewelry and I have fallen in love with the craft of glass lampwork beads. I would like to know if there are any classes on the SW part of town for beginners. I have found several shops online on the north side of town but that is really too far to travel for a few hours and then head back home. If you know of classes in the SW Houston area please reply with the info you have. Thanks!

The answer to that question I'm sorry to say is probably no. I'm in Sugar Land. I wish we had a teaching studio here.

Unless you are extremely lucky, there will always be some travel involved in glass classes.

She's fun to sit next to, as well.

Liz, Sra and I all haunt Glass Sorbet on occasion. Deborah rocks. I'll be there this Saturday for Libby Leu's class if you do want to make the drive and say hi for a little bit, check out the shop and get an idea of what a classroom in action looks like. I don't think Deborah would mind. Possibly meet your "local" fellow lamp workers. I bet a couple of the Houston hotties will be there. Like Liz said, she's in Sugar Land. I know the hotties are scattered around the area. Networking really is worth it.

Default North Houston

We have 10 minor burner workstations just North of Houston in Conroe. We are right off the freeway and super easy to get to. We also sell glass, tools and supplies and offer practice time and kiln rental. Please call me if you would like to come check out our studio. The HSGB "Hotties" will be having their next meeting at our studio and Diane Woodall is demonstrating shards, so everyone can hop on a torch and make some. We welcome visitors, so please join us.
