silvered glass what makes the colors?
wondering if anyone has information I can read, about what in reactive/reducing glass that makes the colors that they do. I am interested in if I can get more knowledge as to what makes the colors show up that do as far as chemical reaction or heat changing the way the silver line up in a specific way...to give me a better idea what I am doing. I have looked around a little and have not found anything. if anyone wants to have that discussion or point me to something they have researched or found I would appreciate it.

Try the suppliers websites.
North Star glass alchemy and double helix all have info about them.

You are growing crystals on the surface of your bead by superheating, cooling, reheating, reducing, striking, etc.

Crystal size usually dictates color but can also depend on other glass ingredients and amounts of silver.

Do a search for reduction and striking glasses; there is a ton of posts about it here with plenty of links.
In a nutshell, the fuel rich reduction flame brings the metals to the surface; if you are using a reduction glass with silver, it will be silvery for example. Striking glasses require a certain level of heat to reorder the silver crystals in the glass. When you then strike them, it then orders those crystals in such a way that the light strikes it, causing you to see the colors.
