Default Sony NEX-C3 with 18-55mm lens

Greetings, do any of you lampwork folks have one of these models? If so, do you use it for your bead photography? I can't seem to get the gist of using the macro mode, so I went online to find any user groups out there. My search came back with another individual who is just as bewildered as I am. The manual does not go into much detail with explanations.

Any assistance from another owner would be greatly appreciated.

The MACRO mode is mere a really short focal distance....

It will focus from about a minimum of 3 inches to what ever range is of lens...

Best solution is to put camera into "macro mode" and set camera up of tripod or whatever and put "subject" about 6 to 8 inches form lenses and then "focus" in on it .... Move "subject" closer to lens or further away and observe what focus and size of "subject" does.... One of the best teachers is to play with camera and observe what the features do.....

Many really good bead fotogs never use the macro mode for bead pics....

Do not let the "macro" mode or feature spook you, its really only close up pictures instead of distance in "normal' modes....
