Question CALLING ALL EXPERTS: Help with my Propane/oxygen set up?

Through the help of the people on this forum and to a few different Retail outfits, I'm still getting mixed information about if it is safe to carry a propane hose 50 feet from the tank outside to the regulator inside.

To avoid any possible safety hazard I came up with the following idea. What if I used two regulators: one on the tank and one inside, the one outside set to a pressure slightly higher than what I need, and the one inside could be adjusted to the correct pressure. Would this work?

Also, the hose I want is a twin hose. Can these hoses be separated? I'll have the propane tank outside and the oxygen generator inside, so they need to be separate for quite a distance.

Thanks again for your help!

Short answer NO! Regulator on tank, (only need 1) yes you can split the hoses, but why not buy separate hoses to begin with?

Line going thru the wall should be black iron pipe/copper (search forum)

It won't be going through a wall just a window...

Tortie, whether you are running your hose through a window or a hole in the wall, it's the same element of danger. Here's a tutorial that might help you; I realize it's more work, but it may save you a lot of problems in the long run - and keep you safe! Please consider it: http://www.lampworketc.com/forums/sh...ghlight=piping
