Default Spiral murrini

Hi all,

I did this quick tut for the peeps at Sydney meeting and thought everyone else around the world may be interested as well.

You can find the tut HERE

The murrini looks like the photo below when done and will only take about 10min to make about 10 cm (4 inch) length (perfect amount for a couple of sets IMHO).

Please let me know if you have any question.

Cheers
Nancy

Thanks all for the comments!

Sals, I made a test bead but it's in the kiln so will post a picture tomorrow.

Debbie,
Actually I don't really think too much about it and it just worked for me. Like I said in the tut, make sure the paddle is nice and even before you pull. Heat and pull slowly will also help. Give it a try and let me know if you have any trouble.

Cheers

Thanks Nancy, I think I'll try shaping my punty a little long and narrow. I've pulled every other kind just never a ribbon! Until I saw the goldstone ribbons in the garage I'd never seen them before!

Apologies to people waiting for the bead photo!

It's freezing in Sydney this morning and I got out of bed just in time to catch the train to work. So no time to check the kiln or take photos. I'll get to it tonight I promise!

Cheers

OK, here are some truly nasty examples using the murrini I made in the tutorial. Not the best of the beads, or picture for that matter, but it will give you an idea of what the murrini look like.
