Question Mapp Pro issues

Hello! I just set up my studio again after almost 4 years due to moving.
I had to buy a new MAPP gas tank and they only have Mapp Pro now in the yellow tanks. It keeps going out. It doesn't seem to melt the glass very well either. I have a Hothead torch.

I am in a quandary now and don't know what to do.
My husband says I should just buy a Propane tank and forget the Mapp Pro.
This is a hobby so I don't want to spend big bucks if I can help it.
But I heard Propane is dirty and is it as hot ??

Any suggestions???
Thank you.

I switched over to bulk propane on my hothead and find that I prefer it to Mapp pro. For one thing, a tank of propane costs about the same as a lb of Mapp and last a LOT longer. It can be a challenge to avoid sooting issues, but I don't think it's 'dirtier." The guys at Arrow Springs were a wonderful resource for explaining the proper hoses and regulators etc .
