Default Tighten torch knobs?

The propane knob on my national as gotten lose. I can barely touch it and the flame is enormus and barely touch it and it is off. Can this be tighten up and how? Thanks in advance!!

Check under knob, is there a "hex nut" that valve shaft goes through....

IF so its probably loose, take a "open end wrench" the correct size and gently tighten this nut... If you get it to tight knob will be difficult to turn, to loose and it can leaks fuel around shaft.... Always check for leaks after working on torch valves.

Also, open the valve before you tighten. Make sure gas is OFF.
