Smile Pulling Goldstone Stringers

Hi All-

After some discussion in the Garage Sale area, I decided to put together a tutorial on making your own goldstone stringers- it's pretty basic, but it might be useful!

http://chestnutridgedesigns.com/sections/blog/blog.aspx

I used the "cubes" I purchased in the Garage Sale a few months ago, I am assuming the chunks would work the same- Laura

Thanks for doing this tut, Laura! You're right - handpulled is a totally different beast! Those little goldstone blocks are very nifty and I have never seen them. Does anyone know where to purchase some?

When you pull your own, you can encase with other transparents too...I love to use red on the original goldstone and green or aqua on the blue goldstone.

Hi Vicki- I got mine from Bindy, but I don't know if she has any more. they are nice because they are a uniform size/shape.

Jana- that is a great idea- I never thought of doing that to add more color

Thanks so much for this Laura. It will be back to the drawing board tomorrow for me as I made quite the mess yesterday attempting to do this.

So you can just melt the goldstone donut and do whatever you want with it? Cool! K

I have always encased it in clear- but you could try just melting it and pulling stringers- see what happens. I love using goldstone with all of my organic beads and it looks great with just about everything:
