Default Step up from Mega Minor to ?

I have been running a Mega Minor and would like a little more heat and radiant heat in order to work faster and larger. Also to dabble in boro eventually.

I plan to run oxycons and need to purchase those too... maybe before the torch... and they will feed my MM in the meantime. Leaning towards two 8 psi 15 lpm units.

I do not want to go too big or too $ with my next torch. Wondering if an Alpha will be that little extra oomph I am looking for. Anyone have working knowledge of the MM and Alpha that can tell me how they compare?

Open to other suggestions too.

I went from a Mega Minor to an Alpha. LOVE the Alpha. Feel free to pm me if you have specific questions about my experience.

Going from a mega minor to an Alpha is almost not an upgrade at all.

A lynx would be an upgrade.

Yes but what I have read about the Lynx it is hard to get radiant heat from it and the flame is more thrusting, even dialed down, which can more easily burn out silver glass effects under encasement.

Love my workhorse Barracuda! I run it on an M20. Works like a champ!
