What happened? (Kronos)
OK, I made this bead last night. My question is... at the base, on that first row seen layer of petals, my Kronos did this little weird thing... NONE of the other layers underneath this layer did that. Can anyone explain WHY the glass made this weird thing? And it's like that on each and every feather in this layer...
(I will be gone until late this afternoon, but I hope someone is able to answer this one for me...)
Thanks so much everyone!

OOoooooo! I don't know why it did that, but I LOVE it! It's a very pretty effect.

OK, that's what I thought might have happened too, but I'm curious as to why it would only be on the lower 1/2 of that row and not the entire area???

After it's reduced and encased, if you get the glass too hot again (more than just a slight glow) you end up with a great probability of over-reduction! I say that with a sigh and the disappointment of the experience......insurance heat only!

I suspect you reduced that part when it was warmer than when you reduced the other layers. Reduction happens faster when the glass is warmer. And it occurs deeper too. FWIW..
